Minus 15 kilos for privateer BMW’s

The FIA Touring Car Bureau have decided to give all BMW 320si E90 cars run by privateer teams a weight reduction of 15 kilos from the race at Marrakech and until further notice.

The decision has been taken “…to maintain the balance of performance between the private competitors entered in the Championship, as a consequence of the application of Article 79 (Compensation Weight).”

The concerned cars are the following:

Stefano D’Aste – Wiechers-Sport
Franz Engstler – Team Engstler
Kristian Poulsen – Team Engstler
George Tanev – Proteam Motorsport
Félix Porteiro – Proteam Motorsport
Visto Postiglione – Proteam Motorsport

The minimum weight of these cars has been reduced from 1140 kilos to 1125 kilos including the driver.
