Tom Boardman skips Marrakech

SUNRED Engineering driver Tom Boardman is going to skip the FIA World Touring Car Championship race at Marrakech.
“After the first two events in Brazil and Mexico, Tom asked us to have a new car, however we were not able to have it ready in time to be shipped to Marrakech,” team boss Joán Orus said.

Boardman is going to return to the series at the next race which is going to be held at Pau in France.

“Also because Tom wishes to test the new car in England before racing it. We will be ready in time to re-start from Pau,” said Orus.

Boardman is currently fifth in the Yokohama independents’ trophy after scoring 17 points so far this season. His best finish yet was during the first race in Mexico.
