Huff turns first pole into first win

The first ever pole position for the Chevrolet Cruze was turned in to the first ever win by Rob Huff. The Brit led the race from start to finish with SEAT driver Gabriele Tarquini finishing second behind. Jordi Gené took the final podium position in third.

Yvan Muller secured fourth position after being overtaken by Gené with only two laps to go.

The safety car was out once during the race to clear cars from a first lap race incident.

The involved cars were Jörg Müller, Alain Menu and Rickard Rydell. The Swedish SEAT driver was unable to continue and retired on the spot.

Tiago Monteiro finished sixth ahead of Chevrolet driver Nicola Larini and the recovering team mate Menu.

Müller was also able to continue after the first lap accident and crossed the finish line in eight ahead of the impressive home driver Mehdi Bennani who won the independents trophy.

Three times WTCC champion Andy Priaulx finished tenth.
