BMW are unhappy with the rules

The rumors of BMW being on the verge of leaving the FIA World Touring Car Championship have grown strong again. BMW are unhappy with the, according to them, unclear and changing rules as BMW Motorsport boss Mario Theissen states.
“We are looking at the current situation very critically. I cannot say anything more at this moment,” said Theissen at a press conference in Munich.

BMW has gone up and down in the results in the WTCC season so far.

They were completely out paced by SEAT in the first race in Mexico, they were on pace in Brazil only to be outpaced by both SEAT and Chevrolet in Africa.

BMW lodged a protest against the SEAT drivers after the race in Marrakech due to the rules, according to BMW, not being clear regarding the turbo pressure.

The results of that race are still provisional due to this and the so far the decision is still pending.

And it seems that BMW’s commitment to the WTCC as well is pending.
