Twin brother Coronel to join at Brno

Tom Coronel’s twin brother Tim will join Sunred Engineering at the next race of the World Touring Car Championship. The race will be held on June 21st at the Czech track of Brno.

Tim won the one off seat after he scored the most points during the SEAT Léon Eurocup this weekend. In the first race he finished in third position, during the second race he took fourth place.

Tim Alfa and Tom Romeo Coronel were born on April 5th 1972. The two brothers raced eachother before in 2001, when they both participated in the Dutch Touring Car Championship. Tom drove for the BMW dealerteam, whereas Tim was behind the wheel of a Lexus.

The twin brothers also competed together in the 2007 and 2009 editions of the Dakar Rally.
