BMW, SEAT and Chevrolet on same weight
BMW, SEAT and Chevrolet will all head into the next round of the WTCC at Brno with identical compensation weights.
Organisers of the WTCC have made the announcement after taking into consideration lap times set in the previous three rounds of the series at Marrakech, Pau and Valencia.
According to these calculations, the BMW 320si remains the fastest model, and will again receive the maximum 40kg ballast for the races in the Czech Republic on the 21st June.
Both the Chevrolet Cruze and the SEAT Leon TDI are within the 0.3-second threshold (0.1 and 0.2 seconds respectively), so will therefore also carry an identical 40kg of ballast.
Alessandro Zanardi’s sequential gearbox BMW has no compensation weight, while the SEAT Leon TFSI will have 10kg deducted, and the Lada 110 will have 20kg deducted, from the minimum weight
