Thompson is excited but with no expectations

James Thompson is going to make his Lada debut in the World Touring Car Championship in a few days at Porto in Portugal. The Brit is going to drive the new Lada Priora.
“It’s a very exciting occasion and I’m really looking forward to driving the Priora in competition for the first time,” said Thompson.

While the new Priora model has got a lot of parts from the older 110 model, Thompson feels that there is a long time of development ahead.

“We’ve obviously got a lot of development work ahead of us, but I am sure we will be able to learn plenty of important lessons as the weekend goes on,” said Thompson.

While the Priora is expected to boost the results for Lada, Thompson has got low expectations for the first race.

“I’ve got no particular expectations as everything is so new, so we will just take everything as it comes.”
