Farfus ahead of Huff at Porto

The World Touring Car Championship weekend at Porto has been started with a 30 minute test session which Augusto Farfus topped. The BMW driver lapped the track in 2:10.161 with two Chevrolets as his closest opponents. Robert Huff was second fastest ahead of team mate Alain Menu in third.

Gabriele Tarquini was fastest SEAT driver in fourth ahead of his team mate Tiago Monteiro.

Nicola Larini was the first man to be over one second, 1.015, behind the fastest time of the day, in sixth.

BMW drivers Jörg Müller and Andy Priaulx was seventh and eight respectively ahead of SEAT driver Rickard Rydell.

Jordi Gene rounded off top ten ahead of best privateer, Tom Coronel.

James Thompson had a hard start to his WTCC weekend at Porto with Lada. The Brit only completed one lap before he had to enter the pits again with gearbox problems.

His team mates, driving the old Lada 110 model, van Lagen and Ladygin were 15th and 21st respectively.
