Augusto Farfus fastest again at Porto
Augusto Farfus once again topped the time sheets as the first free practice session at Porto was completed. The Brazilian lapped the track in 2:10.393 and had, just like yesterday, a Chevrolet driver behind him. Alain Menu was two tenths slower with Tiago Monteiro in third, making it three different manufacturers in top three.
Rob Huff, who was second fastest in the free test session yesterday, was fourth fastest ahead of Alessandro Zanardi.
Gabriele Tarquini of SEAT was sixth fastest ahead of BMW drivers Jörg Müller and Andy Priaulx.
Rickard Rydell was ninth fastest ahead of best privateer driver, Stefano D’Aste, in tenth.
On the contrary to the free test session yesterday, new Lada driver James Thompson managed to complete nine laps during this session.
He was five seconds off the pace in 23rd, but is expected to climb in the lists when the team gets the gearbox problems sorted.
