Chevrolet masters a wet warm up
Sunshine turned to rain ahead of the warm up session at Porto in Portugal. Chevrolet adapted best to the new conditions with Rob Huff and Nicola Larini first and second. Portuguese SEAT driver Tiago Monteiro was third fastest, four tenths behind Huff’s time.
The wet weather is expected to remain for the first race and the track officials have declared wet race.
Jörg Müller was best of the BMW drivers in fourth ahead of team mate Augusto Farfus Jr.
Yvan Muller was sixth fastest ahead of Alessandro Zanardi and Andy Priaulx. Alain Menu and Stefano D’Aste rounded off top ten.
James Thompson climbed a few positions in the list and was 16th fastest.
