Volvo enters two cars for Brands Hatch

The Volvo team Polestar Racing is going to take part in the World Touring Car Championship race at Brands Hatch. The team is going to take part with two cars for regular Swedish Touring Car Championship drivers Robert Dahlgren and Tommy Rustad.
“It is going to be very interesting to see where we are compared to Yvan Muller and Gabriele Tarquini who are in the top of WTCC,” said Dahlgren.

“I think we have a good chance to produce good results.”

The team took part in the WTCC race at Brands Hatch last year when Dahlgren qualified 10th but failed to finish any of the races due to an incident with fellow Swede Rickard Rydell.

This year, how ever, the team hopes for better results.

“Last year was a development race, this year we are going to raise the stakes to give British Volvo fans and customers a good show,” said Derek Crabb, Volvo Motorsport Director.

Rustad is currently second in the drivers championship of STCC and Dahlgren is sixth.

“I think we can show that the STCC is a championship of high class compared to the best in the world,” said Crabb.
