Volvo hoping for good results at Brands

The Volvo team Polestar Racing are ready for the World Touring Car Championship race at Brands Hatch.
“We are going to do good results,” said Robert Dahlgren to STCC.se.

Dahlgren has done a lot of racing at Brands Hatch in the past when he was taking part in the British Formula Ford championship eight years ago.

“It is like a home track for me, the first team I drove for was based at Brands Hatch and we tested a lot on the track. You can say that I know my way around here,” said Dahlgren.

Team mate Tommy Rustad is not a newcomer either to Brands Hatch after his years in the British Touring Car Championship.

“I won at Brands Hatch in 1998 when I took part in the privateers cup of BTCC. It is going to be nice to meet and race against old competitors like Yvan Muller, Gabriele Tarquini and Rickard Rydell,” said Rustad.

The Volvo team and Dahlgren took part in the WTCC race at Brands last year when Dahlgren qualified 10th but failed to finish any of the race.

“We have developed the cars a lot since last year and it is going to be very interesting to see where we are compared to the WTCC teams.

They have of course developed their cars as well, so it is going to be two very hard races,” said Dahlgren.
