Farfus dominates Brands Hatch practice
Schnitzer BMW’s August Farfus has shown that he is determined to push for the World Touring Car Championship title with fastest times in both Saturday practice sessions at Brands Hatch.
The first session saw the Turbo Diesel SEATs posing the greatest threat to Farfus. Close behind was 2008 Champion Yvan Muller, who was only slightly ahead of a very fired up Andy Priaulx.
Rob Huff was the top placed Chevrolet amongst a SEAT and BMW top ten.
The mixture of cars in the top ten changed during second practice. Chevrolet leap frogged SEAT to share the spoils with BMW. This time Farfus’ team mate Jorg Muller posed the biggest threat to the Brazilian. Alain Menu and Nicola Larini claimed 3rd and 4th fastest respectively, with Andy Priaulx again showing well with the 5th fastest time.
Robert Dahlgren set good times on bis return to the WTCC grid in the Volvo C30. He claimed 8th in first practice and 12th in the second session.
Norbert Michelisz and Tom Coronel shared the fastest independent honours in the first and second session respectively.
