Andy Priaulx receives warning
BMW driver Andy Priaulx has been reprimanded by the Stewards of the Meeting at Brands Hatch. The British driver was warned for not being in the right position on the starting grid for race two yesterday.
Priaulx started from sixth place on the grid for race two, after he had scored a third place in the first race.
As the rear wheel driven BMW’s are known to get off the line better than the front wheel driven SEAT’s, Priaulx positioned his car angling to the inside of the track, rather than in a straight line.
By doing this, he was able to get ahead of some of the SEAT’s into the first corner.
However, the Stewards of the Meeting did not appreciate this action and gave Priaulx a warning.
