Championship out of reach for Priaulx
With two third of the season over, Andy Priaulx hasn’t won a race this year yet. He’s in seventh place in the championship and is 34 points down on SEAT driver Yvan Muller, who is in first in the standings. To win the title back from Muller would need a miracle, as Priaulx realizes.
“The championship is more or less out of my reach”, Priaulx says. Now Priaulx is focusing on taking a win this season, which he felt he already should have taken in Brands Hatch.
“I went to my home World Touring Car Championship race at Brands Hatch wanting a win, so I suppose I have to admit I failed in my mission. However, I know I have the car to win races in my BMW.”
Priaulx won’t give up on his mission. “I will not stop fighting until I achieve my goal.”
