Werner takes pole at Neuquén

Toyota Team Argentina driver Mariano Werner has claimed pole position for round 8 of the Argentinean TC2000 Championship. Renault driver Matías Rossi will line-up in second, with championship leader Juan Manuel Silva in third.

With the last ten minutes of the session disrupted by changes in the weather conditions, Toyota Team Argentina’s second driver benefitted greatly to take a surprise pole position.

Former championship winning team mate Norberto Fontana could only qualify 24th.

Championship rivals and Equipe Petrobras team mates Juan Manual Silva and Jose Maria Lopez will start second and ninth respectively.
