Augusto Farfus fastest in warm up
Augusto Farfus was the fastest man of the morning warm up session at Imola. The Brazilian lapped the track in 1:56.271, right ahead of his main championship rival Gabriele Tarquini. The Italian was only 0.095 seconds behind Farfus.
Third fastest was Andy Priaulx ahead of fellow BMW driver Jörg Müller.
Jordi Gené took fifth fastest time, with Alessandro Zanardi and Sergio Hernandez right behind him.
The two diesel SEAT drivers Rickard Rydell and Tiago Monterio then followed in eight and ninth. James Thompson took the final spot in top ten, eight tenths behind Farfus best time.
WTCC newcomer Fabio Fabiani continues to struggle as he was seven seconds (!) behind the fastest time and managed to plant his BMW in the tyre wall during the session.
