Augusto Farfus: “I will not give up”

The WTCC weekend put a serious blow to the title chances of BMW man Augusto Farfus. The Brazilian only managed to get one point from the two races at Imola.
“We knew it would be tough for us in Imola. However, I had planned to have a better result,” said Farfus.

Farfus was involved in the first lap chaos and had to retire while his main opponents for the title, Yvan Muller and Gabriele Tarquini, scored a lot of points.

“My rivals in the title fight collected plenty of points. That’s why the accident in race one really hurt my hopes,” said Farfus.

Four races remain of this season and 40 points. Farfus is currently 18 points from the leader, Tarquini.

“But I won’t give up. There are four more races to go with 40 points up for grabs. Today’s point I dedicate to my team, who repaired my car so quickly during race one,” said Farfus.
