Farfus heads Japan warm-up

Augusto Farfus again showed great pace by setting the fastest time in the warm-up session at the Okayama track, just ahead of Spaniard Jordi Géne.

Highlighting the likelihood of a close race between SEAT and BMW in the dry conditions, although rain has fallen ahead of the race.

The session was close with the BMW’s of Schnitzer & Racing Bart Mampaey mixed in with the factory SEAT TDI’s.

The Chevrolet’s continued to struggle, with Nicola Larini the fastest in 10th, with the top Lada, recently crowned ETC Cup Champion James Thompson in 12th.

Heavy rain has fallen ahead of the race however, meaning the cars will be racing in different conditions to the weekend sessions – although not too unfamiliar for the drivers who raced here last year.
