Tom Coronel: “Macau will be a lottery”
Yokohama Independents Trophy leader Tom Coronel feels that the final race of the year at Macau is going to be a lottery.
“The battle will be decided in Macau, the place that is famous for its casinos and gambling. To be honest I think this will also be a lottery,” said Coronel.
“We must be patient there and calculate all the time in order to secure the title.”
The flying dutchman had a strong weekend during the previous WTCC race in Japan where he did not expect to perform well.
“To be honest I expected to lose points this weekend, but we actually extended our lead a bit,” said Coronel.
Coronel leads the independents championship with 30 points ahead of Félix Porteiro. But the Dutchman is not feeling secure.
“Despite my 30 points lead in the standings we are far from there as double points will be awarded for both races. It will be exciting,” said Coronel.
