Priaulx in the role as help driver

Andy Priaulx had a strong weekend in Japan where he scored most points of all drivers in the World Touring Car Championship. But despite that, Priaulx has to sit back and watch his team mate Augusto Farfus fight for the title at Macau with Gabriele Tarquini and Yvan Muller.
“Sadly I shall not be in the drivers’ championship fight and so shall have to watch as Gabriele, Yvan Muller and Augusto slug it out,” said Priaulx on his website.

Despite that the drivers title is out of hand for the Brit, he is confident of an exciting finale.

“This race (Japan) has now set up the most amazing championship finale in Macau,” said Priaulx.

The goal for Priaulx at Macau is to help BMW secure the manufacturers title ahead of SEAT. The Spanish manufacturer currently leads with three points.

“I am aiming to do all I can to help BMW regain the manufacturers’ championship. We are now just three points behind SEAT in this battle and I am hoping we are going to have something to celebrate on Sunday night,” said Priaulx.
