Muller delighted over Chevrolet switch

Chevrolet announced Yvan Muller as their driver for next year, something TouringCarTimes.com reported about one month ago. While the Frenchman lost the WTCC title to Gabriele Tarquini, he was delighted to join Chevrolet.
“I am delighted to join Chevrolet for the next season,” said Muller.

Muller has driven for SEAT in the WTCC for four years, racking up ten wins and 30 podium finishes.

“After four successful and exciting years with SEAT, I was looking for a new challenge and Chevrolet was clearly my first choice,” said Muller.

The Frenchman is going to line up with Alain Menu and Rob Huff next year, it remains to be seen if they expand with more drivers.

“I am extremely confident in the potential of the Cruze and the Chevrolet team. My objective is to contribute to the further progression of Chevrolet and I am sure that together with Alain, Rob and the entire Chevrolet team, we can achieve great things and aspire to the highest objectives,” said Muller.

Chevrolet WTCC team boss Ray Mallock is more than pleased over their new driver.

“Our signing of Yvan confirms our commitment to winning this championship. As everyone in the pit lane knows, our first priority regarding our drivers is that they work together as a team to deliver the best results for Chevrolet. Yvan has proven himself in this respect and his track record speaks for itself,” said Mallock.
