Menu & Reid back in Argentina
European racers Alain Menu and Anthony Reid will again join the Argentinean TC2000 series this weekend, with Reid partnering champion elect José Maria López.
The final round of the season takes place at Potrero de los Funes.
Alain Menu will again partner Guillermo Ortelli in the Chevrolet Elaion, and the pairing have shown good pace in practice with seventh fastest, in a car which is yet to win this season.
The season has been dominated by Petrobras Honda, who are certain to take the title with either Juan Manual Silva or José Maria López – and Toyota Team Argentina with only Renault’s Matias Rossi coming close from outside of the two Japanese marques.
Since the last TC2000 endurance event, Anthony Reid had made a quiet return to the BTCC, and supported Team RAC to help Colin Turkington claim his maiden BTCC championship.
Reid, who won the Buenos Aires 200km race with López last year, will be hoping for a strong result and helping another team mate (this time sharing the car) to the championship.
López has received extra attention in this last week, with his announcement that he is close to securing a Formula 1 drive with the USF1 team next season.
