Menu completes Chevrolet winter test
There is no rest for the Chevrolet team of the World Touring Car Championship. The team completed at two day test at Jerez last week with Alain Menu at the wheel.
“It was nice to be back behind the wheel last week in Jerez, although the rain prevented us to do proper development work,” said Menu.
While the weather made things difficult for the team, they still got a lot of valuable track time.
“We completed some useful system checks and totaled 700 km without any trouble,” said Menu.
The team has planned for three further test sessions at Valencia, Algarve and Valencia again in January and February.
The test at Valencia in mid-january will mark the first proper test day for Chevrolet-newcomer Yvan Muller. Chevrolet Motorsport boss Eric Néve has hight expectations for the winter testing.
“What we’ll achieve during the winter will be critical for the coming season, as once the championship starts, events and travel make development work more difficult. We have high ambitions for 2010, so we are doing our utmost during these winter months,” said Néve.
