Fredy Barth joins SUNRED for Brazil

Swiss driver Fredy Barth is a last minute addition to the grid in Brazil in the No.18 SEAT León TDI. Barth finished third in the SEAT Eurocup last year and will be re-united on the grid with rival Norbert Michelisz.

From the notion of a potential SEAT ‘lite’ grid for the season opener, we now have eight SEAT’s lining up at Curitiba with the addition of Barth.

More astounding is with the manufacturers withdrawal, the number of TDI cars – as seven of them will be powered by the championship winning diesel unit.

Fredy Barth will be entered by SUNRED Engineering, alongside Michael Nykjaer.
