Huff says Michelisz stopped him from pole
Chevrolet driver Rob Huff says that the off track excursion of SEAT-driver Norbert Michelisz in the last minutes of the Q2 session stopped him from taking pole position.
“Michelisz’s off-track cost me three tenths, I think that lap would have been the pole, because I had been very fast in the first two sectors,” said Huff.
“I would have liked to start the season on pole position, especially after being fastest in Q1, but that’s racing…”
Instead Huff is going to start fourth, behind his two team mates Alain Menu, third, and Yvan Muller, first.
“It’s both a great and a frustrating day. The good news is that the Chevys are on top and that all the work done is paying off,” said Huff.
