Honda confirm López, new car and line-up

José María López will return to the championship as reigning champion in the No.1 Honda Civic, to defend his two consecutive titles.

Leonel Pernia, Mariano Altuna, Néstor Girolami & Santiago Ventana will complete the line-up in the team.

The team tested in Cordoba last week, and López was the fastest of the Honda drivers, setting the same time as Gabriel Ponce De Leon, who had impressive pace in the first run of the new Ford YPF Focus.

The team also unveiled the new livery for the Petrobras backed car.

Team Director Víctor Rosso said:
“We need to keep working as we did in 2008 and 2009. It will be a new challenge and that’s what we really like and love it. We have everything we need to achieve that goal again.”
