Maurer to run three Lacettis at Morocco

Swiss based racing team Maurer Motorsport will run a squad of Chevrolet Lacettis at the WTCC race in Morocco for three local drivers.

Maurer Motorsport has competed in selected rounds of the WTCC previously between 2006-2007, and will be working with Chevrolet by running the cars in the new ADAC Cruze Cup in Germany, which will be supporting the ADAD Procar German touring series.

Maurer themselves were the 2006 ADAC Procar champions with Vincent Radermecker, whilst running in the then one year old WTCC Lacetti.

After Mehdi Bennani’s successful touring car debut last year at his home track, three young Moroccan’s will now also line-up on the grid alongside Bennani, who has graduated to a full time drive with Wiechers Sport this season.

The three drivers are Larbi Tadlaoui, Youssef El-Marnissi and Ismail Sbai – who will also racing in the ADAC Cruze cup this year, before joining the WTCC field at Morocco on May 2nd.
