First pole for Ardusso

Toyota’s new signing Facundo Ardusso takes pole position in only his second race, he will start ahead of reigning champion José María López.

Norberto Fontana will start third for Ford YPF – the driver showing better pace in all sessions with the new Ford Focus, in only his second race with the team.

Both Chevrolet’s made it into the top 10, with Ledesma fifth and Ortelli 7th.

Fabián Yannantuoni impressed to get his independent Peugeot into the top 10 in tenth.

The sprint race will feature a new handicap measure, meaning drivers will be docked positions based on their championship positions for the race.

This means López will start 13th in the sprint race, and Ardusso 10th. Fontana and Pernia will form up on the first row for the first race of the day.
