Spataro to start sprint race from pole
Emiliano Spataro will start tomorrow’s sprint qualifying race at General Roca from pole after setting the fourth fastest time in the timed qualifying session.
Championship leader Jose Maria Lopez was fastest, but will drop 12 places on the grid after taking into account his championship position based penalty.
Matias Rossi was second fastest in the his Renault Megane, but will drop ten places on account of his third position in the championship.
Martin Basso, still driving the Mk 1 Ford Focus, will share the front row after setting the sixth fastest time, and was fastest of all the Berta Motorsport Ford YPF cars, with last time out’s winner Norberto Fontana setting the eight fastest time (but will lose 11 places on the grid on account of that result).
The sprint race will take place tomorrow, which will settle the final grid positions for the feature length race.
