Radermecker to drive fourth Chevrolet Cruze at Zolder

Experienced touring car racer Vincent Radermecker is going to drive the fourth Chevrolet Cruze at Zolder on the 19/20th of June.
“I am really very happy of this opportunity to be back in the WTCC and behind the wheel of a Chevrolet, in ideal conditions and in my own country,” said Radermecker.

The Belgian is hoping that his vast experience of his home tracks is going to help him reach good results.

“I am conscious that the level of professionalism and competitiveness in the series is tremendously high, but I hope that my excellent knowledge of the track will be a plus and I am confident that I can do well and help the Chevrolet team achieving a successful racing event in Belgium,” said Radermecker.

The 42 year old Radermecker has driven a lot of different GT and touring car series, notching up the Belgian Touring Car Championship title in 2005 and vice champion of the French Super Touring Car Cup in 2002.

Chevrolet Motorsport Europé boss Eric Néve is pleased to have Radermecker onboard for Zolder.

“It is a great satisfaction for us to be able to have a fourth Cruze in Zolder as well and to entrust it to Vincent, who has proven his ability in many series over the years and was the first driver to win a touring car championship in Europe with a Chevrolet,” said Néve.
