Yvan Muller heads to Zolder to score big points
Championship leader Yvan Muller heads to Zolder with big points as his goal.
“We need to continue approaching things race by race, with the aim of being in the top three all the time,” said Muller.
Zolder is new to the calendar for the FIA World Touring Car Championship, a track Muller has only raced on once before.
“It is going to be a new circuit for most of the drivers. I personally raced only once in Zolder, but it was a long time ago, in 1987, at an event of the German Supertouring championship,” said Muller.
Muller says the Belgian track should suit the Chevrolet Cruze.
“Theoretically, Zolder should be a track favourable to the Cruze and I hope we can continue scoring big points,” said Muller.
Chevrolet has had a strong first part of the championship, with Muller leading and team mate Rob Huff sharing second place in the championship with Gabriele Tarquini.
“We are in a good position in both championships, but it is much too early to think about that,” said Muller.
