Portugal Weights: SEAT & Chevy still top
The SEAT León TDI and Chevrolet Cruze LT will again carry maximum ballast at the next round of the WTCC, with the BMW 320si still 20kg behind in ballast as at Belgium.
The last three races performance have been used for the determination, which gives the diesel SEAT, which is currently second in the teams and drivers championships the 40kg maximum ballast available, after setting the fastest laps at Zolder.
Chevrolet, which leads both the drivers and manufacturers championships, with Yvan Muller holding a 19 point lead over SEAT’s Gabriele Tarquini, will also carry an additional 40kg over their base weight.
All new model BMW 320si’s will still run with just 20kg of success ballast, whereas older model BMW 320si’s will we able to run with 20kg subtracted from their minimum specified weight, as will the Bamboo Engineering Chevrolet Lacetti’s.
