WSR unveil eBay Motors as WTCC sponsor
Colin Turkington’s initial three race assault on the WTCC will be backed by eBay Motors, as the new livery was unveiled today.
eBay Motors has joined WSR in the BTCC this year, on the cars being raced by Robert Collard & Andy Neate, but will feature as the title sponsor on the WTCC BMW 320si which will be driven by 2009 BTCC champion Colin Turkington.
Team owner Dick Bennetts said:
“We are very excited about taking on the best in the world and it is great to have Colin back on board for this along with the support of eBay Motors who have made it possible. We will be contesting the next three rounds and then hopefully be in a position to compete in Japan and Macau at the end of the year when we have fulfilled our BTCC commitments.”
Colin Turkington, getting ready to race in the WTCC next weekend (July 4th) for the first time since Macau 2007, said:
“I’m really excited about racing again, being back with WSR and having the backing of eBay Motors. Like always I’m hoping to do well, obviously it’s difficult to know what to expect; it’s my first race of the season but I know the car inside out and although I’ve only been for a single test day at Portimao I have a good idea of the track and its layout so we should be fine.”
