Spataro takes pole position at Resistencia

Emiliano Spataro will start from pole position for Sunday’s sprint Race at Resistencia for FIAT, after setting the fastest time in qualifying.

Spataro set the outright fastest time in the FIA Linea run by Pro Racing, and also won’t drop any positions for the sprint race, as he’s just outside the top 12 in the championship.

Second fastest in the session was Mariano Werner in his rebuilt Toyota Corolla, which was all but completely destroyed in a first lap crash last time out at Alta Gracia.

Werner will drop six places however on account of his seventh place in the standings, so the front row will feature Toyota’s Francisco Troncoso.
