Girolami takes his first win of 2010

Honda Racing’s Nestor Girolami has won his first race of 2010 at Resistencia, finishing ahead of Chevrolet’s Guillermo Ortelli and team mate Leonel Pernía.

Pole sitter and sprint race winner Emiliano Spataro didn’t have the pace in the second race, and finished fifth place overall.

Championship battlers López & Fontana had good showings, with López picking up the points for sixth, whilst Fontana, who started 22nd in his Ford-YPF Focus drove up from 22nd to finish 9th.

Mariano Altuna, who was taken out in the first corner in the sprint race, suffered again not completing a lap in the feature race, and is likely not to be the leading Honda in the standings when the final positions are confirmed.
