Priaulx ahead of Huff in Portugal

Andy Priaulx topped the first test at Portimão in Portugal. The BMW-driver lapped the track in 1:56.810 and had Chevrolet-man Rob Huff right behind him, just 0.08 seconds adrift.

Augusto Farfus Jr. made it two BMW’s in the top three with local driver Tiago Monteiro in fourth.

Newcomer Colin Turkington impressed the field by being fifth fastest in his first appearance in the West Surrey Racing-prepared BMW 320si.

Championship leader Yvan Muller headed team mate Alain Menu in sixth and seventh. Another two team mates occupied the following two slots with Jordi Gené in eight and Gabriele Tarquini in ninth.

Darryl O’Young rounded off top ten with 1:58.172.
