Farfus on top in second Portugal practice

BMW Team RBM’s Augusto Farfus set the fastest time in the second practice session, ahead of SR-Sport’s Tom Coronel and SUNRED’s Michael Nykjaer.

Not letting SEAT have it all their own way after the first practice session, Augusto Farfus found more pace in his BMW 320si to set the fastest time in the final practice session before the afternoon’s all important qualifying session.

SR-Sport driver Tom Coronel was the fastest SEAT, just under two-tenths of a second behind, whilst Rob Huff was the fastest of the Chevrolet Cruze’s in fourth.

Top independent for the third consecutive session was the 2009 British Touring Car Championship winning driver and team combination of Colin Turkington and West Surrey Racing, in tenth place overall, with the two Bamboo Engineering Lacetti’s of Vaulkhard and O’Young 2nd and 3rd fastest in the Yokohama Trophy category of drivers.

Championship leader Yvan Muller was sixth, whilst chief rival Tarquini was eighth.
