SEAT on top in first practice at Portimao

SEAT show strong form, taking the top four positions in Saturday’s first practice session, with Jordi Gené setting the fastest time.

Just as last time out at Zolder however, Gabriele Tarquini stopped out on track at the end of the session after setting the sixth fastest time in the session.

The top Chevrolet was championship leader Yvan Muller in fifth.

The top independent was Colin Turkington, in his 2010 debut, faster than the works BMW of Augusto Farfus in ninth place. Andy Priaulx was seventh.
