Turkington fastest in second practice session

Colin Turkington was fastest in the final practice session before qualifying, in a session which saw a number of drivers excluded for short cutting the Brands Hatch circuit.

The Chevrolet’s of Rob Huff and Alain Menu held the fastest times for the majority of the session, but in the last part of the session, the reigning British champion set the fastest time by almost four-tenths of a second from ‘Brands-master’ Alain Menu.

Menu & Huff finished second and third, ahead of the fastest SEAT, which was Tiago Monteiro in fourth.

Robert Dahlgren’s Polestar Racing Volvo C30 again featured in the top ten, and was eighth fastest.

In the independents category, Turkington of course was the fastest, with Kristian Poulsen second in the category, 12th overall.

Fredy Barth, who had an off at Graham Hill bend later in the session, was the fastest rookie challenge category driver in 13th.
