Girolami fastest qualifier at La Rioja

Equipo Petrobras Honda driver Nestor Girolami topped the tables in the qualifying session at the La Rioja circuit, narrowly beating Matías Rossi’s Renault & Norberto Fontana’s Ford.

On account of the penalty system however, Girolami will drop 10 places for the sprint race, and will need to fight to work his way back up the order to get a good spot for the feature race.

Championship leader Leonel Pernía was tenth fastest in the sister Honda Civic.
