Ledesma wins qualifying race for Chevrolet

Christian Ledesma led from pole position to win the sprint qualifying race at La Rioja, and claim pole position for the feature event.

Ledesma earned pole position after the championship penalties were applied, which meant the qualifying sessions fastest driver, Nestor Girolami, started the sprint race from 20th position.

The race didn’t go well for Girolami however, and he will now line-up in 27th place in the feature race.

Championship leader Leonel Pernía worked his way up to ninth, finishing just ahead of his two Equipo Petrobras team mates José María López & Mariano Altuna.
