Kevin Chen to race for Proteam in Asia

Taiwanese driver Kevin Chen will race for Proteam Motorsport at the season closing rounds in Japan & Macau, and has recently tested the team’s BMW 320si.

Kevin Chen, who started his career in the USA racing in the SCCA National Championships, before moving on to Asia in the Formula V6 Asia and GP2 Asia series, will drive the team’s third BMW 320si for the first time at Okayama on October 31st.

Chen tested the car at Mugello on Tuesday, and will have a second test at Magione this weekend along with Fabio Fabiani, who will have his third outing this year for the team at Oschersleben.

The team confirm Kevin Chen’s drive is part of an evaluation which may see him compete in a full season in 2011 for the 2008 independents’ champions.
