Muller and Menu to race at Buenos Aires 200km

Chevrolet WTCC drivers Yvan Muller & Alain Menu will take part in the Buenos Aires 200km endurance race, part of the 3M Argentinean TC2000 Championship in November.

Alain Menu is no stranger to the event, having raced four times, winning the event whilst paired with Matías Rossi in 2006.

It will be Yvan Muller’s first sojourn to Argentina for the TC2000 series, in his first season as a factory Chevrolet driver.

The two will pair up with championship regulars Guillermo Ortelli and Christian Ledesma, the 2004 TC2000 series champion, in the Chevrolet Vectra.

“It is always a pleasure to be invited to this great event, which I love,” said Alain Menu.

“The atmosphere there is terrific, Argentines are true motorsports lovers, and the TC2000 is an extremely competitive and closely-fought competition”.

WTCC championship leader Yvan Muller is looking forward to his first run as well:

“In my career, I had the opportunity to race in many different disciplines and at the wheel of many different cars, but this will be something new and I am very happy to have the chance to discover a new circuit and a new championship, of which I have heard a lot of good things”.

WTCC rival, SEAT driver Gabriele Tarquini has already been confirmed as a competitor in the event with the Equipo Petrobras Honda team, sharing with two-time champion José María López.

The race takes place just a week after the penultimate round of the World Touring Car Championship at Okayama, Japan.
