Chevrolet in command in second practice
Yvan Muller emerged fastest from the second practice at Oschersleben held on a drying track following a rain downpur during the morning, with times slower than in the morning session.
There were no major dramas during practice as teams continued the preperations for qualifying later today.
Following Muller in second place was Alain Menu indicating a strong pace for Chevrolet at a track where they have never won before. Just a little over a tenth seperated the two Chevrolet drivers with four tenths down to third placed Tiago Monteiro who was followed by Jordi Gene posting a quick time at the end of the session, although almost seven tenths behind Yvan Muller.
Despite an off Dane Michael Nykjaer managed sixth fastest time following his eight fastest time in the first practice and emerging as a contender for top eight in qualifying. Andy Priaulx was the fastest BMW-driver in seventh place with team mate Augusto Farfus down in tenth place, the team still searching for pace at a track where they usually are strong.
