Tarquini fastest at Oschersleben Free Practice 1

Gabriele Tarquini has topped the time sheets in a slippery wet practice session at Oschersleben, which saw two red flags.

Tarquini was just 0.040 ahead of Chevrolet’s Rob Huff in the session, which was interrupted early on with Proteam’s Stefano D’Aste hitting the tyre wall.

In the final minutes of the restarted session, as the circuit became slippery under light rain conditions, Tiago Monteiro went wide at the Hasseroder Curve and damaged the SEAT León TDI, causing a second red flag and the session was not resumed.

Andy Priaulx was the top BMW in fourth place, and Franz Engstler headed the independents category, 13th overall.
