Marc Carol in a petrol SEAT at Valencia
Marc Carol is going to take part in the FIA World Touring Car Championship race at Valencia next weekend. The Spaniard is going to drive a petrol powered SEAT Léon thanks to his victory in the 2009 SEAT León Supercópa.
Carol was given a similar opportunity in 2005 after winning the 2004 Supercópa season.
The 25-year-old driver then drove a SEAT Toledo for the works team with an eighth place as his best finish.
Carol is currently second in the 2010 SEAT León Supercópa championship.
The car will be entered by SEAT Customer Technologies (SCT) and run by SEAT Sport, and as it’s the TFSI petrol model, won’t be required to run the ballast which is applied to the TDI models.
The car will also be eligible for the independents’ classification.
