Chevrolet test 2011 Cruze in Spain

Chevrolet has completed three days of testing at Jerez in Spain with the new 1.6 liter engine. Rob Huff and Yvan Muller shared car during the test.
“t was the first time I was driving the 2011 Cruze and the new engine and I was very positively impressed. We still have a lot of work to do, but we have a very good basis to build upon and we are working in the right direction,” said Muller.

The team completed a total of 1020 kilometers without any technical problems.

“This was a very positive test. The new engine is responding well and we are exactly where we wanted to be. The drivability of the car is really excellent, thanks the much better torque of the turbo engine, and I’m anxious to continue the development work together with Yvan, Alain, the engineers and the entire team,” said Huff.

Chevrolet is going to run the new engine in WTCC next year and while the work already has begun for 2011, there are still two races left of the current season.

“Now, of course, we have a job to finish in the current season and we are completely motivated and committed to conquer both titles in the Asian finale that is about to start,” said Muller.
