Provisional penalty weights published for Macau

The penalty weights for Macau have been posted, though the weight attributed to the sequential gearbox BMW 320si is likely to change as a result of yesterday’s appeal verdict.

With only the independents’ running the 5-speed manual gearbox BMW 320si at Macau, the ballast weight has dropped from 40kg to 0kg for the season finale.

It is unclear whether this will also be revised.

BMWs with the old shape will be able to run at -10kg, whilst those with the six-speed sequential gearbox have been allocated -20kg, but this is set to be annulled.

The SEAT León TDI and Chevrolet Cruze LT will again run at the maximum 40kg, and the Chevrolet Lacetti will run at -20kg.

The two new model entries of a pair of Honda Accords and a Honda Civic will all run with a new entry ballast of +40kg.
