Coronel crash brings Macau qualifying to a halt
Tom Coronel crashed five minutes in to the qualifying session ahead of the FIA World Touring Car Championship finale at Macau. The Dutch SEAT-driver put his SEAT Léon in the wall at Fisherman’s bend, bringing out the red flags.
Coronel was unhurt while his SEAT took a lot of damage. Although recent reports from the track say that the team has been able to repair the car and Coronel should be able to get back out.
The session has been stopped because of the crash and it is as of yet unsure when the session is going to be resumed.
Update: Session has resumed and is going to run for 30 minutes.
